Commercial bleaches used in the whitening of paper could either be oxidative like hypochlorite or they could be reductive bleaches such as Sodium borohydride. Often peroxide bleach or hypochlorite when used with paper cellulose often leads to an oxidative reaction, which if practised repeatedly can decay the alloy. However, if a factory uses Inconel 600 Round Bar for their production, the chances of getting corroded by oxidation remain small.

This is because of the chromium oxide rich layer formed on the Alloy 600 Nickel hot rolled bar. Chromium present on the surface of Alloy 600 bars reacts with oxygen in the atmosphere and gets attached to the oxygen molecules. Which means there is a passivated layer that is formed over the UNS N06600 bar. Now, this layer is something that forms a sort of barrier between the surface of the 2.4816 Alloy 600 square bar alloy, thus, preventing oxidation corrosion effectively.

In the case of reductive bleaches being used, the higher contents of nickel and molybdenum present in ASTM B166 UNS N06600 effectively narrows the chances for Inconel 600 hex bar getting decayed. Moreover, the Werkstoff 2.4816 flat bar is a nickel based superalloy with added tungsten in its chemistry. This significant addition of tungsten in Inconel 600 rod is what improves the corrosion resistance properties across a wide range of severe conditions.

What is the difference between Inconel 600 bright bar and cold rolled square bar

The Inconel 600 material is a nickel chromium alloy that has high temperature resistance, high oxidation resistance and high resistance to most mild chemicals and acids. The bars are used in applications that deal with high temperatures and corrosive environments. The bright bar is polished to have a bright surface with less absolute roughness. The cold rolled square bar is square in its cross section and is produced through a cold drawing procedure. This also has less absolute roughness due to the cold drawing. But the square bar is stronger than the round bar and is used in structural applications mostly.
