ASTM B444 UNS N06625 pipe advantages

The ASTM B444 material, also known as the alloy 625 is a nickel chromium molybdenum columbium alloy. Due to the composition, it has higher mechanical properties. It has tensile strengths over 827MPa. The annealing of the material makes it lose some impact strength but provides high tensile and yield strengths. It can have 100ksi of tensile strength in low temperatures and about 94ksi at a 1000 degrees Celsius. The yield strength ranges up to 40ksi. Since the material is corrosion resistant, heat resistant and oxidation resistant at high temperatures, it is best fit for high temperature services such as the heat exchangers, boilers and super heaters.
