Hastelloy c276 seamless pipe is produced from 1/2” to 4 inch and welded pipe up to 4" but diameter of welded pipe can be increased by hot expanding machining but these pipes are not durable in long run. so it is advisable to go for Cold-worked seamless pipe. Cost difference is about 15%.

ASTM B622 UNS N10276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum wrought alloy specification. This material is resistant to wet chloride gas, chlorine dioxide solutions and hypochlorite. Only a few alloys have these properties. The alloy is commonly known as the C276 and it is not affected by grain boundary precipitation. The material is also exceptionally resistant to oxidizing media, chlorides, acids and most reducing media. These properties being expressed by one material is a perfect match for chemical processing applications because the material can withstand all the risk factors in a concentrated chemical processing. The bleach plants, sour gas applications, flue gas desulfurization plants, sulfuric acid reactors and organic chloride presses equipment all use the C276 or the ASTM B622 UNS N10276 alloy material.
